Ok so we came last in the televote BUT we did improve from our two points from one nation of 2017. This year we received nine points from three nations, which in 2017 would have seen us finish 21st in the televote.
Regardless it was a disappointing and surprising result. We looked at where we came in each nation's televote to see if we fell into the mid-range of death.

Although only three nations voted for us, 16 put us in their top 15. So 13 nations did really like the song but it couldn't make their top 10s. But that's Eurovision.
Jessica's average position was 17th which is the same as Isaiah average last year as well. Unlike Isaiah Jessica was about to make the top 10 of the televote in her semi final finishing 8th with points from 16 of 18 nations.
Hopefully if Australia is back in the contest for 2019 we can find a song that isn't too 'safe' which can fall out of nation's top 10s.
