Finnish broadcaster announced today that DJ and music producer will be representing the nation at Eurovision this year.
Darude is best know for a number of hits from 1999 into the early 2000s. His biggest hit 'Sandstorm' sold 2 million copies and reached the top 10 in his native Finland as well as Norway, Ireland, UK, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands and Switzerland. It also reached no.40 here in Australia.
Other songs that charted well internationally were 'Feel the Beat' and 'Out of Control'.
The song Darude will send will be decided by UMK, the Finnish national final. He will present three songs and they will be released on the 8th, 15th and 22nd of February before the final televised show on 2 March.
