In another busy Sunday morning for Australian viewers, four nations chose their Eurovision entrants in their national finals. Details below:
Hungary
Joci Papai is back, after a top 10 finish in 2017 he will be performing again after taking out the Hungarian national final A Dal. He won the jury vote and won the shortlisted 100% televote superfinal. He will sing "Az én apám" in Tel Aviv.
Lithuania
Jurijus as taken out the Lithuanian national final Eurovizijos Atranka with his song 'Run with Lions'. Many expected Monika Marija to win the contest with her song 'Light On' but Jurijus took out both the jury and public vote to book his ticket to Tel Aviv. Jurijus has done backing vocals for many Lithuanian acts at Eurovision before including for 'This Time' in 2015 which famously features two same-sex kisses, with Jurijus being one of them.
Denmark
Danks Melodi Grand Prix was a tight affair with Leonora winning with her sweet song 'Love is Forever' taking out 42% of the superfinal ahead of League of Light on 35% and Say My Name on 23%. Unfortunately the live performance has yet to be released but you can hear the song below.
Ukraine
*UPDATE MARUV WILL NOT BE REPRESENTING UKRAINE*
The Ukrainian national final 'Vidbir' was a tense affair with questions over Russian allegiances and stances on Crimea common for the contestants. In the end Maruv performed and answered well to come 2nd in the jury and 1st in the televote to take out the win with her entrant "Siren Song". However the ultimate decision is still down to the broadcaster UA:PBC to confirm her participation.
