Albanian star Alban Ramosaj has released a deeply personal English language single Ghosts of the Past.
Eurovision fans will recognise Alban from Festivali i Këngës 60 where he finished runner-up with the song Theje.
Alban relocated from Albania to the United States in 2023 and has taken a different direction in his music.
Ghosts of the Past is written by Alban himself and reflects on a former relationship of the singer.
"This song entails my struggles to let go of a long-lost love that continued to "haunt" me, even a year after the breakup and my big move from Europe to The US," he said.
"Though I knew I had to move on, the love we shared felt eternal, symbolised by the line "I’ll love you till the end of time.
"This song is a bittersweet goodbye, as I prepared to distance myself, knowing I can’t stay, but the feelings might linger forever.
"I wrote this song, quite literally as the final goodbye, since I never got the chance to say it in person to my ex due to no-speaking terms."
The song is off Alban's upcoming English debut studio EP Heartbreak Motel.
About Alban
