Name and where you live
G'day I'm Liv and I live on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria! I'm originally from a small town in South-West Victoria with a population of just 55, farming on a 2,500 acre beef and lamb property.
A big chunk of my life was spent studying in Melbourne so I've had the full Hannah Montana experience "living the best of both worlds".

Tell us a little bit about yourself
I work in Radiology as a Nuclear Medicine & Position Emission Tomography (PET) Technologist. Working in public hospitals always keeps you on your toes and I enjoy the complete chaos of the job. No two days are alike and I love helping my patients and nerding out with the radiation physics and radiopharmacy included in my work.
I'm better known for being a "horse-girl" - I always grew up riding and have found my niche in the horse community doing Horse Showing (think beauty pageants for horses). I've driven all over the country competing and am very lucky to have some beautiful horses - including the twitter famous Tony (for a hot minute in 2019 he was a big meme in the Eurofan community on Twitter!).
My current competition horse is Gigi, she's a bit of a dinosaur standing at 17hh and 668kg last time I weighed her! We're currently training hard to qualify for Nationals and compete at our state capital show, The Royal Melbourne Show.
There was a short period in high school when I wanted to be a professional saxophonist, eventually losing out to working in healthcare or farming. I did all my exams on Alto sax but always had a soft spot for Baritone.
In my final year of school, I won the prize for service to music - mostly because I was happy enough to play anything to fill seats and pad out the bands and orchestras. By the end of my studies I'd performed concerts on Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone Saxophones as well as Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Flute and Piccolo. I always got the short straw and would transpose on the fly for random parts like Bassoon or Euphonium to fill in the gaps on Baritone sax.
Performing was never my strong suit - it took years for me to realise I prefer the analytics of music. Breaking down the nuts and bolts of pieces, doing my own arrangements and writing about musical concepts which fits much better with being a Eurovision pundit!
Growing up on a farm I've got some pretty niche skills - if any Eurofans need some hay bailed or an electric fence fixed, I've got ya covered. The closest I've gotten to mixing farming and Eurovision was winning OGAE Australia's inaugural Lipsyncfestivalen competition in 2019.
My other sporting passion is playing field hockey - I've been playing since I was 8-years-old and represented Victoria as a junior. Back in senior school, I'd play 8 times a week - now I participate for fun and fitness and the idea of 5am hockey training only brings me pain. My back also says "no thanks".
When I'm not living and breathing Eurovision I enjoy watching Formula 1 (particularly pookie Oscar Piastri) and following tennis. I have quite a passion for Doctor Who (wrote the best article you'll ever read about Eurovision and Doctor Who here) and reading.
What is your Eurovision journey?
My Mum's family are Sicilian and watching Eurovision and Sanremo Music Festival was something I grew up with. My earliest memory was dancing around my Nonni's lounge room to Everyway That I Can from 2003 with my cousins. I loved it SO MUCH and would demand they rewind the VHS and play it again and again. My dad even made a little mock Sertab Erener outfit for me!
I continued to watch Eurovision but on the down-low as it was considered mildly "uncool" at my school. In 2011 Eric Saade changed my brain chemistry and his performance of Popular changed everything for me. From then on I became the "crazy-Eurovision-horse-girl" at my school.
In 2017 during a fateful Radiation Physics lecture when I was bored out of my mind I decided to make a Twitter account dedicated to Eurovision. I was addicted. At this point I was introduced to national finals and I met some of the most amazing fans to talk about Eurovision with from all over the world. FINALLY, I FOUND MY PEOPLE.
I met Mike and Dale at a Melbourne Eurovision Boat Party in the summer of 2018 and the rest is history! We immediately hit it off and about a year later I joined Aussievision and haven't looked back.
I attended my first Eurovision at Liverpool 2023, I was lucky to go as accredited press for the competition with Aussievision. Last year I headed the team on the ground at Malmö 2024, a challenging year but I'm so proud of our team who persevered. Looking forward to being at Basel 2025!
Do you have any affinity to nations other than Australia?
If you've seen any of the coverage for Sanremo Music Festival at Aussievision I can very proudly say it was me!! I take annual leave from work to see the whole festival live - I wouldn't miss it for the world. It's pretty much set in stone that all my relatives watch and support Italy at Eurovision.
Some of my happiest memories were filled with talking about Sanremo with Nonno - we would spend hours listening to his favourite artists and joking about how he would outlive Gianni Morandi...unfortunately that wasn't the case and I said goodbye to Girolamo in 2023. I now watch Sanremo in his honour - it's what he would have wanted.
Italy is almost always my favourite entry of the year - but no bias of course! I won $2700 betting on Måneskin to win back when they were 6th in the odds. I had some supreme confidence back then.
I also have a soft spot for Romania - I've met so many wonderful and gorgeous Romanian Eurovision fans through Twitter and I adore their passion for the contest. I've tried very hard to learn Romanian with minimal success. It comes in handy for my patients though - they really appreciate it when I can speak even bits of Romanian for them!
Any Aussievision highlights?
Reflecting back on my seven years with Aussievision it's been a wild ride - I joined at the same time as Kyriakos and for a bit it was just the four of us, to see what's happened since fills me with so much pride and joy. We're just a couple of passionate Aussies who dared to dream and here we are!
My first press experience with Aussievision was at Australia Decides 2020, shout out to my fellow South-West Victorian Didirri who was the first interview I ever performed! The whole weekend got me hooked on the adrenaline and thrill of producing content quickly, being in the eye of the storm and then partying till 6am.
Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool was the first contest I ever attended and I was lucky to do press with the Aussievision team. Dale, Mike, Kyriakos and I got to experience the press centre together and made some insane memories. I think I can speak for us all when we thought that the Nordic Delegation party was one of the biggest "holy sh*t" moments of our lives.
Last year I was on the ground for Malmö 2024 and led the team in Sweden! I'm so proud of our biggest press team yet of Cooper, Hayley, Sam with support from Kiel. I have SO MANY fond memories of hanging with lots of other passionate fans (shout out to the Eurotrip boys and Roy for keeping it real in a challenging year).
One of the funnier moments was getting on the live broadcast for Olly Alexander's Semi Final performance - the cameraman thought the Union Jack on my flag was for Olly...little did he know it was actually an Australian flag and we were just about to go absolutely balistic to One Milkali (One Blood) with at least 5 drinks on board.
