Australia Decides artist LeeA releases new single Boy Next Door

Australia Decides star Leea Nanos (now performing as LeeA) continues the charge for upcoming young artists in Australia with her exciting new single boy next door.

At just 16-years-old she participated in the inaugural Australian National Final with 'Set Me Free' in 2019, placing 9th. She backed up her Eurovision success by co-writing G-Nat!on's 2022 entry 'Bite Me', placing 5th in a very competitive field.

LeeA takes a more mature approach to her sound in boy next door - successfully transitioning from a teenager in the industry to a young woman. The single also departs lyrically from her previous music:

"Many of my songs so far have been about breakups in love and I wanted to do the opposite and talk about attraction about your crush. It ended up being of my favourite songs I’ve written. It has a RNB/Trap feel and similar to artists like Tyla and Travis Scott."

boy next door features Australian rapper Legend who rose to local prominence after his epic performance on The Voice Australia, being selected for Rita Ora's coaching team.

In August, LeeA also released the single Echoes, a poignant tale of the overwhelming nature of life and the suffocating emotion of being overwhelmed physically and mentally, yearning for reprieve.

LeeA is of Greek heritage and an avid Eurovision fan. LeeA has expressed her desire to perform at Eurovision or write for other artists, possibly following in the footsteps of Silia Kapsis, Andrew Lambrou, Eleni Foureira and many others representing Greece or Cyprus with mixed national backgrounds. Or of course, flying the flag for hometown Australia.
