The The 2024 ARIA Awards nominations were revealed today with a couple of Eurovision artists among those shortlisted.
The ARIA Awards is Australian music's night of nights and celebrates the best artists, albums and songs in a range of genres.
Eurovision 2018 star Jessica Mauboy has been nominated for Song of the Year for her song Give You Love with Jason Derulo. She was also nominated for Best Pop Release for her album Yours Forever.
Jessica has previously won two ARIA Music Awards from 26 nominations.
Interestingly, she was nominated for Best Video in 2023 for the same song.
She took to Instagram to say:
I’m forever grateful for all the love this album has received! A special shoutout to @aria_official for the incredible nominations and to the amazing songwriters and creatives who brought this record to life with me. And of course, a huge thank you to @jasonderulo for being a part of such a special song with the most important message #GiveYouLove ✨✨
Electric Fields also figured among the nominees for Best Original Soundtrack or Musical Theatre Cast Album.
They wrote songs for the Baz Luhrmann TV mini-series Faraway Downs.
The Eurovision 2024 duo revealed their delight on Instagram saying:
We are THRILLED to be @aria_official nominated for the 8 tracks we wrote for @bazluhrmann Faraway Downs. We are so proud of the music we contributed. It was a beautiful collaboration! ❤️
