This morning, the first of two "song showcases" was broadcasted by VRT, the Belgian broadcaster which participated in the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of the flemish-speaking region of Belgium.
During the show, the first four (out of eight total) songs were performed. This was the first time the songs were heard in full, following the release of short teaser clips earlier this week.
You can watch the performances here:
1 - Grace, Pull Up
2 - LEEZ, Perfectly Imperfect
3 - Le Manou, Fille à Papa
4 - Lenn, Air Balloon
The first four artists also had the opportunity to perform a cover of a well-known Eurovision song in order to better introduce the audience to their style. The following covers were performed:
Grace - Voilà (originally by Barbara Pravi, France 2021)
LEEZ - Heroes (originally by Måns Zelmerlöw, Sweden 2015)
Le Manou - J'aime la vie (originally by Sandra Kim, Belgium 1986)
Lenn - Jennifer Jennings (originally by Louis Neef, Belgium 1969)
A second showcase will take place next week, during which we will see the songs from the following four artists performed for the first time:
Jelle van Dael - Monster
Mentissa - Désolée
Red Sebastian - Strobe Lights
Stefanie Callebaut - Gloria
All eight songs will participate in the final of Eurosong 2025 on 1 February 2025, where the winner ill be selected by a mixture of televote and jury. Eurovision 2023 fan favourite Gustaph has already been announced as being part of the jury.
