Just 30 minutes before the kick off of the Grand Final jury show, the EBU announced that due to an ongoing discussions about an incident involving Joost Klein, The Netherlands will not be allowed to perform during the show.
In a statement the EBU said:
"The investigation into the incident with the Dutch artist in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest is still ongoing. Discussions are also taking place between the EBU and AVROTROS, the Dutch participating broadcaster."
While adding:
"While the investigation continues the EBU has decided that Joost Klein will not perform during Dress Rehearsal 2 of the competition which is voted on by juries in the 37 participating countries. His performance from Semi Final 2 will be used instead."
Earlier in the day, during the Grand Final dress rehearsal, The Dutch act appeared for the Flag Parade before becoming absent in the arena and his run-through was skipped over.
The exact incident that took place involving Joost is still unclear but there is on-going discussions happening on the future of The Netherlands in this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest will continue with the Grand Final on Saturday night (Sunday morning AEDT).
The Rest of the World vote was due to open (they can vote ahead of the show) but has now been delayed by two hours.

Joost klein just asked the camerawoman not to film after the second semi-final to act accordingly the announcements and dit ask that several times , and she find not stop filming om that point Joost made a angry movement towards the camera .... I would have done the same .
But this is no ground to disqualify a artist
