About the artist
Stefan Zdravković, known professionally as Princ, is a 31 year old singer who was born in Vranje and lives in Belgrade.
He is a philologist by profession having received a degree in this field from the University of Belgrade. At university he also studied the Norwegian language.
Princ is also a Serbian national champion in karate and once competed for the national team.
Serbia's Eurovision representative first came to prominence in the music industry by being cast as the lead for the Serbian production of Jesus Christ Superstar in 2020.
The following year he entered The Voice Bulgaria, where he finished in the top 12.
Princ was supposed to competed in Pesma za Evroviziju '22 with the song Ljubi svog čoveka. However he withdrew from the contest due to a disagreement with the song's composer Leontina. Tijana Dapčević, North Macedonia's representative at Eurovision 2014, instead performed the song.
He participated in Pesma za Evroviziju '23 with the song Cvet sa istoka. Despite receiving the most televotes, he finished runners-up behind Luke Black.
About the song
Mila is a romantic love ballad which Princ states describes his love life at the present.
According to the singer one of the messages of the song is that people have to accept sometimes they cannot stay with someone they love forever.
Mila was written by Dušan Bačić. Željko Joksimović, who finished second and third in Eurovision in 2004 and 2012 respectively, is a producer in the revamped version of the song.
How was Princ chosen for Eurovision?
Princ participated in Pesma za Evroviziju '25 with his song Mila.
Pesma za Evroviziju '25 consisted of two semi-finals and a Grand Final. The results of the show were decided 50% by jury and 50% by televote.
Princ first competed in the second semi-final on February 26, where he topped the jury vote and came fourth in the televote. He finished second overall and advanced to the next round.
In the Grand Final on February 28 finished second with the jury and third with the televote. However this was enough for him to finish first overall, narrowly ahead of the Harem Girls with Aladin. Serbia's 2018 Junior Eurovision representative Bojana and her co-performer David won the televote, but received no points from the jury.
Serbia will perform 15th in the second semi-final at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland on Thursday, May 15.
