Joost Klein has released a new song with Tommy Cash called United By Music which appears to take aim at the European Broadcast Union (EBU).
Joost was sensationally disqualified from the Eurovision 2024 while Tommy Cash just won selection for Estonia last weekend for Eurovision 2025.
The lyrics of the new song United By Music includes the lines:
"F*ck the EBU, I don't want to go to court / The less get less and the more get more"
The EBU are the organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The lyrics also possibly allude to other political issues including the boycott of McDonalds by supporters of Palestine.
The lyrics include the line:
"I used to love McDonalds but I'm never going back"
They also leave the song with the final message: "This song is so funny, it's not that deep"
There has been some commentary online about Tommy Cash's place in Eurovision after his winning national final performance of Espresso Macchiatho was taken down from the Eurovision site and social channels.
However, he is still listed on the Eurovision website as the artist for Estonia.
There have also been calls in Italy for the song to be banned for its stereotypical take on the nation.
A senator with the far-right League posted that "whoever insults Italy must stay out of Eurovision”.
