Abor & Tynna have won Chefsache ESC 2025 with their song Baller, and with the right to represent Germany at Eurovision 2025.
The Grand Final of Chefsache ESC 2025 was split into two rounds.
The first round saw the nine artists perform their song for Eurovision but also a cover song.
Five acts were chosen to progress to the second round by a four-person jury headed by Stefan Raab.
In the second round the artists performed their Eurovision song once again, with the final result decided by televote.
Here are how the nine acts placed in the Grand Final:
Eliminated in Round 1:
Benjamin Braatz - Like you Love Me
Cosby - I'm Still Here
Feuerschwanz - Knightclub
Julika - Empress
Results in Round 2:
Abor & Tynna - Baller - 1st
Leonora - This Bliss - 4th
Lyza - Lovers on Mars - 2nd
Moss Kena - Nothing Can Stop Love - 3rd
The Great Leslie - These Days - 5th
As Germany is a member of the Big 5 will advance straight to the Eurovision Grand Final on May 17. Germany will also be voting in the second semi-final which Australia is in.
Germany has the most participations of any country at Eurovision, having only missed one contest in 1996. They have won twice: with Nicole's Ein Bisschen Freiden (A Little Peace) in 1982, and Lena's Satellite in 2010. Last year Isaak finished 12th with Always on the Run, which was Germany's best placing at the contest since 2018.
Chefsache ESC 2025 was organised by Stefan Raab who has had associations with many German Eurovision entries: 1998, 2000, 2004, 2010, 2011 and 2012. It is worth noting that every German entry Stefan has had involvement with so far has always placed in the top 10. It will be interesting to see if Abor & Tynna continue this trend in 2025.
