Stefan Raab is the main man behind Chefsache ESC 2025 – Wer singt für Deutschland?

He also was the mastermind behind the German Eurovision national selection that chose Lena. She would go on to win Eurovision in 2010.

Stefan himself represented Germany at Eurovision in 2000 with the nonsensical Wadde hadde dudde da? which finished in fifth place.

3281 applications were received for Germany's Eurovision national selection this year.

The 24 that will compete in the televised shows were selected by a panel consisting of representatives from ARD - Germany's Eurovision broadcaster, RTL - a private broadcaster, and Raab Entertainment - Stefan's company.

Chefsache ESC 2025 – Wer singt für Deutschland? will consist of four shows.

Two heats will be broadcast on 14 and 15 February, with twelve entries competing in each show. Between twelve and fourteen acts will then take part in the semi-final on 22 February. The results of these shows will be determined by a jury headed by Stefan.

Nine acts will be selected to take part in the Grand Final on 1 March. The results of this show will be entirely decided by public voting.
