The results of Germany's first heat of its national final Chefsache ESC 2025 – Wer singt für Deutschland? are out.
The nation is taking a more unusual approach with their national final this year.
Artists in the first heat perform a cover (or one of their older songs) to showcase their talents.
Then in the semi-finals and final they will perform their song for Eurovision.
12 artists competed this morning with seven going through.
These were decided by a 100% jury vote.
They were (with the song they performed):

Cloudy June - Sad Girl Era
Moss Kena - Die with a Smile
The Great Leslie - Fix You
Lyza - Voilà
The five missing out were:
Adina - In the Air Tonight
Ni-ka - The Way You Make Me Feel
Noah Levi - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back
Parallel - Noi
Vincent Varus - Coffee
The semi-final will be on the 23 February 2025.
