The Australian branch of OGAE treated Australia's fan community once again on Saturday 22 March 2025, with a great night celebrating music and the community that makes the Eurovision Song Contest the event we all love, both on-stage and in the audience.
Let's run through some of the highlights of the night.
Go-Jo graces us with his presence
After a run through of all the contestants for 2025, the OGAE team saved Australia until lucky last so that Go-Jo himself could work the crowd live.
Australia's entrant arrived complete with a club remix of his entry Milkshake Man and a unicycle (yes, dear reader - you read that right).
Afterwards, a brief Q&A was conducted in which the crowd and the interviewer tried their hardest to wrestle any information about the staging out of him.
"Will you bring the circus?"
"That's good. You nearly got me with that one."
Go-Jo also revealed that his favourite entry this year was (rather unexpectedly) Italy's Lucio Corsi with Volevo essere un duro.
Afterwards, Go-Jo did an extended meet and greet. He took the time to truly engage with everyone he met, and his passion and excitement for Eurovision was evident and infectious. The energy palpably changed when he walked into the room.
Sunstroke Project Lights Up the Room
Back in the country four months after Eurovision On Tour, Sunstroke Project then lit up Bondi, kicking their set off with their 2017 bronze-medal classic Hey Mamma.
They then proceeded to play a selection of original songs and covers, including Baha Men's Who Let the Dogs Out and Boney M's Rasputin.
Finishing off the set with the iconic Run Away, Sunstroke Project has once again proven why they have legend status among Eurofans.
