Australia's Eurovision 2015 artist, Guy Sebastian, has been announced as a headline act at one of Europe's biggest Eurovision events.
Het Grote Songfestivalfeest is a Dutch live concert and TV event featuring Eurovision artists held in Amsterdam.
Its translation is "Big Eurovision Party" which is exactly what it is.
This is the fourth edition after the inaugural event was held in 2019 leading up to the planned Rotterdam 2020 Contest..
It has grown each year and is regularly broadcast on channels across Europe including the BBC.
The 2024 edition will be held on 12 December and the full line-up has been announced.
Headlining the show will be two-time Eurovision winner Loreen and our very own Guy Sebastian.
Considering Eurovision winners Nemo and Johnny Logan and fan-favourites Käärijä and Baby Lasagna are on the bill, that is an impressive feat.
Since Guy finished fifth on Australia's debut at Eurovision 2015, he's been a little shy on the Contest.
He did however speak about it recently on The Voice Australia saying:
"How fun was that by the way? It was the most fun thing I've ever done. It literally felt like The Hunger Games with all the countries coming out with their flags. There was something so beautiful about it."
Guy has released nine studio albums, three EPs and 56 singles in his career.
He has had multiple hits in Europe including Tonight Again and Before I Go both charting well in the Netherlands.
His Eurovision song Tonight Again has over 17 million streams and almost 6 million views on YouTube.
When he was announced as an artist he shared this update on social media.
It was such an honour to be the first Aussie to sing at Eurovision in 2015, so to be invited back to celebrate all things Eurovision and perform Tonight Again, and a brand new song too is really cool. I can’t wait! See you soon, Amsterdam!
Guy isn't the first Australian to perform at Het Grote Songfestivalfeest. In 2022, Sheldon Riley also performed at the event.
