Icelandic broadcaster Ríkisútvarpið (RÚV) held the second semi final of this year's national final Söngvakeppnin 2025. In a change to previous competitions, no wildcard will be awarded instead 3 acts from each semi-final will compete in the final.
Advancing to the final were:
Júlí & Dísa – Eldur
Bjarni Arason – Aðeins lengur
Tinna – Þrá
They will join the following acts in the final.
Stebbi Jak - Set Me Free / Frelsið Mitt
Ágúst - Eins og þú / Like You
Væb - Róa
Eliminated from the competition were: Dagur Sig – Flugdrekar
Bára Katrín – Rísum upp
The final of Söngvakeppnin 2025 will take place next Sunday, 23 February (Australian time) at 6.45am ADST.
