Ireland at Junior Eurovision
Ireland made their debut at Junior Eurovision in 2015 sponsored by the Irish Language broadcaster TG4 with the song ‘Réalta Na Mara’ sung by Aimee Banks and finishing in 12th place. Between 2015 and 2018 Ireland used their national final to select both the artist and song, but since 2019 have use the national final to select the artist with the song being decided by internal selection.
2022 will be the seventh time Ireland has competed at Junior Eurovision with their highest placing being 10th at the 2016 contest in Malta with ‘Bríce ar bhríce’ by Zena Donnelly. Can Ireland make 2022 the year that they secure their highest place yet?
Junior Eurovision 2022 will be held in Yerevan on December 11, 2022 (December 12th, 2022 in Australia).
