You can find details on the entry, the artist, and Estonia's history at Junior Eurovision below.

About the artist: Annabelle

13-year-old Annabelle Ats, known as Annabelle, hails from Tartu. Having been involved with music since she was six years old, Annabelle is currently studying piano and solo singing. She has successfully competed in many piano and singing competitions in Estonia and internationally. Besides music, Annabelle's favourite hobby is athletics.

Annabelle loves everything about music, and speaking enthusiastically about her greatest passion of all, says:

"I especially love to sing, because it lifts the mood and brings a lot of joy. Music gives me a lot of new experiences, and music in general creates happy feelings inside me.”

Winning the televised children's singing competition Tähtede lava (Star Stage) in the 11 to 13-year-old age category in May 2024, Annabelle will fly the Estonian flag at the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Spain with the song 'Tänavad'.

About the song: 'Tänavad'

Annabelle's Junior Eurovision 2024 entry 'Tänavad' has a song title that translates to 'The Streets' in English. The song was written by music producer and composer Sven Lõhmus, who has written some of Estonia's most famous Eurovision entries including 'Rändajad' (2009), 'Rockefeller Street' (2011), and 'Verona' (2017). The music video for 'Tänavad' was also created by Alice Aleksandridi, who has been the director of many music videos and stage shows at Estonia's Eurovision national selection show Eesti Laul.

Speaking in an interview on Ringvaade on ETV, Sven Lõhmus stated that he wrote the song with both a child singer and a song contest in mind. He continues:

“She’s [Annabelle] a special girl because of her deep low voice. I’ve never written songs for a song contest like this before, or for children in general, so I thought I’d try. The song is about the street life of young people.”

Estonia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

One of the more recent debutants at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Estonia made their first contest appearance in 2023.

Arhanna and her entry 'Hoiame kokku' finished in 15th place out of 16 participating countries.

Can Annabelle and 'Tänavad' improve on last year's result in Madrid this November?
