About the artist: Victoria Nicole
Victoria Nicole is a Venezuelan-born singer-songwriter representing Portugal in Junior Eurovision 2024.
Having moved to Portugal in 2018, Victoria quickly immersed herself in music, mastering instruments like the piano and ukulele.
She first got into music when she was 5 years old listening to ABBA and memorising the songs to sing herself.
Her passion for music saw her compete in The Voice Kids Portugal which she won. This earned her a place at Junior Eurovision for Portugal.
About the song: Esperança
Victoria Nicole is a passionate songwriter and wrote the song Esperança herself, with music production and direction by Nininho Vaz Maia, Bárbara Tinoco and Feodor Bivo.
Many Eurovision fans will know Bárbara Tinoco for her participation in Festival da Canção. In 2020 she finished runner-up with Passe-Partout and then took fourth place in 2023 with Goodnight.
Esperança translates as "Hope" and features lyrics in both Portuguese and Spanish. Victoria told Junior Eurovision about the meaning behind the song.
"It's about all the dreams of all the children in the world," she said.
"We need a world to make our dreams come true."
