Junior Eurovision's smallest country, San Marino, will be represented this year by Idols SM with the song Come noi.

You can find details on the entry, the artist, and the history of San Marino at Junior Eurovision below.

About the artist: Idols SM

Idols SM consists of four singers: Asia Ceccoli, Giulia Rinaldi, Giorgia De Scisolo and Vera Stefania Olkhovskaya. They are all either 11 or 12 years old. Idols SM are the second girl group to represent San Marino at Junior Eurovision.

Given the reference to the K-Pop band Stray Kids in their song, it is thought that the name of the group was derived from the band members' love of K-Pop "idols" and the abbreviation of San Marino (SM).

About the song: Come noi

Come noi was selected as the San Marino's song for Junior Eurovision 2024 on 11 September 2024. Idols SM sang two songs in front of a live audience in San Marino, with Come noi selected over Poesia by a professional jury.

In Come noi the lyrics describe how a girl is infatuated with her love interest and believes they should be together. The opening line of the song epitomises her constant thought about him: "It's three o'clock, I never sleep."

The lyrics in the chorus portray that the girl's love for the boy has an ethereal, magical quality, as demonstrated in lines such as: "Because no one in the world is like us, walking above the stars ... Our stories have special effects, just like in Stray Kids' videos."

The song was written by Francesco Sancisi, Nicola Della Valle and Paolo Macina. All three are members of the band Miodio, which represented San Marino in the country's adult Eurovision debut in 2008. Come noi is sung entirely in Italian.

San Marino at Junior Eurovision

Before 2024, San Marino last competed at Junior Eurovision in 2015.

The microstate made its debut in the contest in 2013 with Michele Perniola performing O-o-O Sole intorno a me.

The following year San Marino was represented by the girl group The Peppermints with Breaking My Heart. Members included Raffaella Perniola, Michele's sister, and Anita Simoncini, who represented San Marino at adult Eurovision in 2015 with Michele and the song Chain of Lights. The Peppermints were the first girl group to represent San Marino, exactly a decade before Idols SM.

San Marino will compete in 13th place in the running order at Junior Eurovision 2024.
