This morning saw the Grand Finale of Melodifestivalen and the Swedes have chosen KAJ to represent them in Basel with the song Bara Bada Bastu (Just take a sauna).
12 acts competed, but it was the Finnish comedy group made up of Kevin Holmström, Axel Åhman, and Jakob Norrgård who took the crown. The trio won the televote and came second with the juries to take the win over pre-contest favourite Måns Zelmerlöw by seven points.
Second place went to 2015 Eurovision winner Måns Zelmerlöw who narrowly won the jury vote and came second with the public. Greczula finished 3rd, coming fifth with the juries but third in the public vote.
Bara Bada Bastu was written by the trio in conjunction with Robert Skowronski , Kristofer Strandberg and Anderz Wrethov. This is the first time the trio have competed in Melodifestivalen.
About Bara Bada Bastu Jakob says -
"The song is about just taking a sauna, simply. It's a steaming hot pop song. Sauna pop, you could call it".
