Today, Latvian National Broadcaster LTV has revealed the names of the 20 songs and acts competing in the 2025 edition of Supernova, Latvia's Eurovision national selection. This announcement was made on Latvian TV show Rīta Panorāma, broadcast on LTV1.

Supernova 2024, whose final is scheduled for February 2025, received 96 song submissions this year. Of these 96 songs, 20 were chosen to advance to the televised national selection by a jury composed of representatives of the Latvian music, events, and television industries, as well as foreign professionals.

The jury evaluated each composition's originality, arrangement, message, and relevance to modern market trends. In addition to this, the jury has also taken into consideration the performers' vocal abilities, previous achievements in the music industry, and potential for future success.

Agnese Kubliņa, Head of the Entertainment and Documentary Content Editorial Department of LTV, said:

"Although the number of applications has not increased, the competition promises to be splendid and fierce. There is a wide spectrum of talent among the participants, representing various music genres - from already known names to brand new talents. The show promises to be a real musical adventure, with more surprises than ever before, proving that the Eurovision Song Contest is a unique opportunity to reach a huge audience around the world. Thank you to all the entrants!"
