Melody wins Benidorm Fest and will represent Spain at Eurovision 2025

Melody has won the Spanish national final Benidorm Fest and will represent the Iberian country at Eurovision 2025.


Esa diva initially came third in the jury vote, but clawed its way back after winning the televote.



The results of the eight-person expert jury were as follows:

  1. J Kbello - VIP - 74 points

  2. Daniela Blasco - Uh nana - 71 points

  3. Melody - Esa diva - 70 points

  4. Mel Ömana - I'm a Queen - 61 points

  5. Kuve - Loca xti - 52 points

  6. Laschipa - Hartita de Ilorar - 48 points

  7. Lucas Bun - Te escribo en el cielo - 38 points

  8. Mawot - Raggio di sole - 18 points


The results of the public vote were as follows:

  1. Melody - Esa diva - 80 points

  2. Daniela Blasco - Uh nana - 70 points

  3. J Kbello - VIP - 60 points

  4. Mel Ömana - I'm a Queen - 56 points

  5. Laschipa - Hartita de Ilorar - 50 points

  6. Kuve - Loca xti - 44 points

  7. Mawot - Raggio di sole - 40 points

  8. Lucas Bun - Te escribo en el cielo - 32 points


Here is the combined final results:

  1. Melody - Esa diva - 150 points

  2. Daniela Blasco - Uh nana - 141 points

  3. J Kbello - VIP - 134 points

  4. Mel Ömana - I'm a Queen - 117 points

  5. Laschipa - Hartita de Ilorar - 98 points

  6. Kuve - Loca xti - 96 points

  7. Lucas Bun - Te escribo en el cielo - 70 points

  8. Mawot - Raggio di sole - 58 points


Melody burst onto the Spanish music scene in 2001 at the age of 10 with the number 1 hit El baile de gorila, which was a massive hit that summer. She previously attempted to represent Spain at Eurovision in 2009, but came runners-up in that year's national selection to Soraya's La noche es para mi.


Esa diva is written by a Spanish and Swedish songwriting team that includes Thomas G:son and Peter Boström who wrote both of Loreen's winning Eurovision entries Euphoria and Tattoo.


Spain as a member of the Big 5 qualifies directly to the Eurovision Grand Final and will vote in the first semi-final.
