Monika Liu will represent Lithuania in Turin for Eurovision 2022

It's official Monika Liu is set to represent Lithuania at Eurovision 2022 in Turin, with the song 'Sentimentai' after winning ‘Pabandom iš naujo’ 2022.

Since early January Lithuanian broadcaster, Lietuvos radijas ir televizija (LRT), put 36 acts through their paces in the Lithuanian National Final ‘Pabandom iš naujo’ 2022 to see who will ultimately be selected as their Eurovision 2022 representative in Turin.

Over three heats 18 out of the 34 competing acts (two acts withdrew) progressed to two semi-finals. The top four in each semi-final progressed to the final, held on February 12 in Europe (February 13 in Australia).

The jazz singer has prominent roles on Lithuanian television. She has served as a judge on 'The Voice Lithuania' and as a jury member on 'The Masked Singer Lithuania'. This is Monika's first Lithuanian national final.

Monika won the televote and jury vote.

3. Lolita Zero - 'Not Your Mother' - 57 points

4. Rūta Loop - 'Call Me from the Cold' - 51 points

5. Gebrasy - 'Into Your Arms' - 42 points

6. Justė Kraujelytė - 'How to Get My Life Back' - 37 points

7. Ieva Zasimauskaitė - 'I'll Be There' - 33 points

8. Queens of Roses - 'Washing Machine' - 21 points

The televoting results:

1. Monika Liu - 'Sentimentai' - 23,604 votes

2. Lolita Zero - 'Not Your Mother' - 20,929 votes

3. Augustė Vedrickaitė - 'Before You're 6ft Under' - 4,147 votes

4. Rūta Loop - 'Call Me from the Cold' - 1,830 votes

5. Gebrasy - 'Into Your Arms' - 1,404 votes

6. Justė Kraujelytė - 'How to Get My Life Back' - 1,164 votes

7. Queens of Roses - 'Washing Machine' - 1,108 votes

8. Ieva Zasimauskaitė - 'I'll Be There' - 729 votes

Monika Liu will now get her ultimate chance to represent Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin.
