OGAE Song Contest 2024 results

The results of the OGAE Song Contest 2024 have been announced. This year's contest was hosted by OGAE United Kingdom in Belfast.

For those unfamiliar, the OGAE International Network (French: Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l'Eurovision, English: General Organization of Eurovision Fans) is the official community of Eurovision fan clubs worldwide.

The OGAE Song Contest invites each national club to nominate a recent song, sung in an official language of their country, to compete on behalf of their nation.

Among the entries selected by OGAE clubs to represent them were 2024 Eurovision favourite Baby Lasagna for Croatia, Dua Lipa for the United Kingdom, and Sabrina Carpenter representing the Rest of the World. Of course, also in the running was Troye Sivan for Australia, with his song Rush.

So who won amongst this stiff competition?

Italy's Annalisa with Euforia was crowned the winner with 197 points.

This caps off an incredible run for Annalisa at Eurovision related contests. Last month she won OGAE's Second Chance contest with her 2024 Sanremo entry Sinceramente. Annalisa becomes the first artist to win OGAE's Second Chance and Song contests in the same year. She also topped the Aussievision team's rankings of both contests.

Last weekend Sinceramente also came first in Aussievision's eighth annual National Final Countdown.

The United Kingdom's Dua Lipa with Dance the Night placed second in the OGAE Song contest with 157 points. Australia's very own Troye Sivan with Rush took out the bronze with 146 points.
