The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held at the Caja Mágica in Madrid, Spain, on Saturday November 16 (early morning of Sunday November 17 in Australia).
The show will be hosted by Ruth Lorenzo, Marc Clotet and Melani García. Lorenzo represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and hosted Benidorm Fest 2024, while García represented Spain in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
A total of 17 nations will participate, including the host country Spain, as well as Cyprus and San Marino who are both returning to the competition after breaks of six and eight years respectively.
Unfortunately Australia will not be participating. Previous broadcasters SBS and ABC Me confirmed earlier this year that they will not be sending a representative nor broadcast the Contest.
Online Public Voting
The good news is that everyone can participate in voting for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest regardless of whether their country is taking part.
Voting Window 1
Opens on Friday 15 November at 21:00 CET (7:00 on Saturday 16 November AEDT) and closes on Saturday 16 November at 17:59 CET (3:59 on Sunday 17 November AEDT) (just before the live show starts).
Voting Window 2
Will open after the last song has been performed during the Live Show. You then have approximately 15 minutes to cast your vote before the window closes. The votes will be converted into points and revealed during the show.
Voting is incredibly easy! Step 1: Go to jesc.tv Step 2: Preview all of the performances Step 3: Vote for your 3 favourite acts
Voting will temporarily close just before the commencement of the live final and will reopen later in the show for approximately 15 minutes after all 17 songs have been performed.
The public votes will make up 50% of each song's total score with the other 50% being decided by a professional jury. As always the song with the most points wins!
