Portugal: Festival da Canção 2023 semi-final 2 results

Portugal has moved a step closer to choosing its Eurovision act for 2023 with today's second ‘Festival da Canção’ semi-final. Ten acts performed in the semi-final; six advanced through to next week's Grand Final. Five qualifying acts were chosen via a 50-50 combination of jury scores and public televoting. In addition, a sixth 'wildcard' qualifier was chosen solely by public televote.

Semi-final 2 results:

Five acts were initially announced as qualifiers, by a combination of televote and jury points:

  • Edmundo Inácio – 'A Festa'

  • Bárbara Tinoco – 'Goodnight'

  • INÊS APENAS – 'Fim do Mundo'

  • Ivandro – 'Povo'

  • Voodoo Marmalade – 'Tormento'

The televote wild card was then announced as:

  • DAPUNKSPORTIF – 'World Needs Therapy'

This means that for the remaining four acts, their Eurovision journey is over for this year:

  • Lara Li – 'Funâmbula

  • The Happy Mess – 'O impossível'

  • Teresinha Landeiro – 'Enquanto é tempo'

  • Bandua – 'Bandeiras'

The six qualifying entries will compete in the Grand Final of 'Festival da Canção' on 11 March 2023 (Central European Time), when we will find out who wins the ticket to Liverpool.
