Portugal: Festival da Canção 2025 Semi-Final 2 results

This morning, Portuguese broadcaster RTP Internacional (RTP) held the second and last semi-final of their national final Festival da Canção 2025.


Five of the finalists were determined by a 50% televoting and 50% jury system. A sixth televote wildcard also progressed to the grand final after a second round of voting following the announcement of the first five qualifiers.


The five acts advancing directly to the Final are:


Bombazine – Apago tudo


Emmy Curl – Rapsódia da Paz


Fernando Daniel – Medo


Napa – Deslocado


Diana Vilarinho – Cotovia


The televote wild card act which will progress to next week's national final is HENKA with I Wanna Destroy U.



This means that the four entries whose Festival da Canção journey ends here are:

A Cantadeira – Responso à Mulher

Tota – á-tê-xis

Inês Marques Lucas – Quantos Queres

Luca Argel ft. Pri Azevedo – Quem foi


Today's qualifiers will join the first six finalists chosen during last week's first semifinal:

Marco Rodrigues – A Minha Casa

Margarida Campelo – Eu sei que o amor

Josh – Tristeza

Bluay – Ninguém

Jéssica Pina – Calafrio

Peculiar – Adamastor


The 12 acts will compete in the Final on Sunday 09 March 2025 (Australian time) to determine who will advance to the Contest in Basel.


Australian times are as follows (Sunday 09 March morning):



5.00am - Western Australia

6.30am - Northern Territory

7.00am - Queensland

7.30am - South Australia

8.00am - NSW, ACT, Victoria and Tasmania


Portugal has competed 53 times since their debut in 1964 and has won the Eurovision Song Contest once with Salvador Sobral and Amar pelos dois in 2017.


Last year Portugal was represented by Iolanda with Grito which finished in 10th place.
