Sheppard announce April European tour - just before Eurovision 2025

Eurovision - Australia Decides act Sheppard have announced a European tour in April next year.

The tour includes the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Czechia, Italy, Switzerland and the UK.

Not only will this be a great chance for European fans to catch the band, but it also has raised some eyebrows around the date.

Eurovision will be held in Basel, Switzerland from 13 to 17 May with rehearsals likely to start on 3 May.

The band has not hid their desire to take part in Eurovision. They took part in Australia Decides in 2019 finishing 3rd with On My Way.

The song has over 35 million streams and is the most played Eurovision or Australia Decides song from Down Under on Spotify.

After Australia Decides 2023 was cancelled they shared their interest saying:

"Consider our hat thrown in the ring! What an honour we're sure whoever heads to Liverpool will do us all proud."

In 2024 they submitted the song Edge of the Earth to represent Australia in Malmö. Although it wasn't ultimately selected, they released it earlier this year.

The band came to attention with their global hit Geronimo in 2014.

Since then they have continued to release music including four album. Many songs have charted in Europe where they have a strong fan base.

In The Netherlands, Coming Home reached no.12, Die Young no.13 and Learning to Fly no.21.

They have also charted in Belgium, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland the UK.
