This year Spanish broadcaster RTVE has treated us to another sensational line-up of artists for their National Final Benidorm Fest 2025. The winner of the combination of jury and televote will represent the nation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
The final will be on Saturday 1 February (22:00 CET) in Europe or Sunday 2 February (8:00 AEDT) in Australia. The competition runs two semi finals on 28 January and 30 January to choose 4 songs each night for the final.
16 artists are in the running for Eurovision this year. Eleven Aussievision team members have awarded the songs points in the usual Eurovision scoring system (i.e. 12 points, 10 points...etc) and then totalled for overall results.
Tie-breaks are decided by the highest single score for the song, working down from the most 12 points, then 10 points... and so on until a split can be found.
Check out below to see which songs scored highly with our team!

Highs: 12 points Liv. 10 points Craig. 8 points Dale.
Lows: 0 points John, Emma, Melanie, Troy & Joel.
"This is the one Spain! There is undeniable quality in the production and I can feel quality ooze from the whole piece. Not only does it hit all the contemporary beats to be competitive at Eurovision - it also pays homage to traditional Spanish music. Lachispa has a destinctive and stand out vocal in this line up - with the right staging I can see this winning with a slam dunk." ~Liv
"Pleasingly arty and dramatic, this could (but probably doesn't deserve to) go the way of Blanca Paloma if it's picked to go to Eurovision. It nonetheless really stands out in this setting. The shift from the quiet verses to the apocalyptic, huge choruses really works rather than feeling disjointed, and importantly, I can see this translating OK to a live setting. Good effort." ~Craig
7. Daniela Blasco - Uh nana (45 points)
Highs: 10 points Emma. points Tim. 7 points John.
Lows: 0 points Jamie, Sam & Dale. 3 points Joel.
"Uh nana takes us on a journey from big band through to hip hop and reggaeton and the catchy chorus should have wide appeal. If Daniela can pair this with some good choreography this should make the final easily." ~Emma
6. Henry Semler - No lo ves (48 points)
Highs: 12 points Melanie, Dale & Joel. 7 points Tim.
Lows: 0 points Jamie, Emma, Sam, Troy.
"Henry’s lush voice pours raw emotion into every note of this stunning, tender ballad. With many countries opting for high-energy entries this year, this softer, more understated approach feels like the perfect way for Spain to cut through the chaos and make a lasting impression." ~Joel
"Great vocals. Can't wait to see this live!" ~Melanie
"I think this is a beautiful man ballad with a contemporary feel. It has the lovely ability of being both melancholic but also uplifting at the same time (instrumentally anyway as the lyrics are a little depressing!). Gives me 'pop star does emotional ballad' feel but for some reason I just love it." ~Dale
5. Melody - Esa diva (50 points)
Highs: 10 points John & Sam. 8 points Emma. 7 points Joel.
Lows: 0 points Troy & Liv. 1 point Melanie.
"Flamenco flair, guitar strums, modern vibes, everything all in one package for this. Maybe it would stand out as a fan favourite over time." ~John
"The biggest name in this year’s Benidorm Fest line up lives up to her hype with this solid pop track. Whilst not the most revolutionary or unique entry, I can see this doing well in the Spanish charts and possibly enough to represent the Iberian nation at Eurovision." ~Sam
4. Carla Frigo - Bésame (54 points)
Highs: 12 points John & Tim. 8 points Sam.
Lows: 0 points Jamie, Craig & Dale
"This song has the combination of elements taken from songs by Addison Rae, Tate McRae, and Tyla. It has summery vibes in it, and for sure, it will be an improvement to Zorra and Here to Stay, last year's Benidorm entries." ~John
"Theres something a bit dark and mysterious about this song in its beat. I think it stands out as very distinctive in a year of Indistinction. I think in the final at Basel, it could be a great little bop to take you away for 3 minutes." ~Tim
3. Sonia & Selena - Reinas (56 points)
Highs: 12 points Troy. 10 points Joel. 8 points John.
Lows: 0 points Melanie, Tim, Liv. 3 points Craig.
"This is serving Real Housewives of Madrid and I am here for it!" ~Troy
"What Europe (and Australia) needs right now is a feel-good Eurodance anthem to bring everyone together on the dancefloor—and this track delivers exactly that! This is the ladies’ third attempt at representing Spain at Eurovision, so fingers crossed it’s 3rd time lucky." ~Joel
2. J Kbello - VIP (67 points)
Highs: 12 points Jamie & Sam. 10 points Dale. 7 points Liv.
Lows: 0 points John. 2 points Melanie. 4 points Emma.
"Look, I do tend to warm to a decent looking Spanish man doing an uplifting dance-banger at Benidorm Fest, but I honestly think this is one of the best packages in the competition (pardon the pun). It has straight forward structure with enough to hang on to for a non-Spanish singer without being generically European." ~Dale
"This is clearly my top pick for Benidorm 2025. I am looking forward to seeing this dance banger performed live and with great staging, I can see this being Top 10 at Eurovision." ~Jamie
"J KBello is certainly the V.I.P in this Benidorm Fest line up. This reminds me of Agoney’s Quiero Arder and in my opinion is the best entry by a male soloist since then. After Nebulossa last year and Blanca Paloma in 2023, it would be great for Spain to send something fresh yet mainstream enough to garner televotes. Having a handsome bloke singing would be an added bonus, which is why I think J KBello ticks all the right boxes." ~Sam
1. K!ngdom - Me gustas tú (72 points)
Highs: 12 points Emma & Craig. 10 points Melanie & Tim.
Lows: 0 points Dale. 2 points Jamie & Joel.
"This reminds me a lot of 2023's Nochentera...it's a catchy little earworm with lots of opportunity for the crowd to sing along. I'll definitely be adding this to my playlist for the season." ~Emma
"In a very weak year for Benidorm Fest, this song leapt out at me as the one I'd be most likely to listen to more than once. It reminds me a bit of Nochentera from Benidorm Fest 2023, which is a nice reminder of better days for Benidorm Fest. I don't see it making that much impact at Eurovision, but... that's kinda the case for everything in this selection if I'm honest." ~Craig
"Yeah it’s a little basic and uninspiring but there’s a familiarity with this song .It just feels like a fun time. Nothing to special but a group of friends having a blast (I think)" ~Tim
"Sounds fun and quirky" ~Melanie
