Sweden: Melodifestivalen 2022 Semi-Final results



This morning saw the Semi-Final of Sweden’s Eurovision national selection show ‘Melodifestivalen’ take place at Friends Arena in Stockholm.


The eight acts that finished in third and fourth place from the four heats all competed again for a second chance to make it through to next week's Grand Final.


Anna Bergendahl, Tone Sekelius, Theoz and Cazzi Opeia were the lucky acts to receive the most votes and will now take part in the Grand Final along with the top two place-getters from each of the four heats.


Anna Bergendahl previously represented Sweden at Eurovision in 2010 with 'This Is My Life'.


Danne Stråhed, Alvaro Estrella, Lisa Miskovsky and Lillasyster were all eliminated from the competition.

Cazzi Opeia - 'I Can't Get Enough' - DIRECT TO FINAL


Formerly known as Andra Chansen, this year saw a new format for the second chance round with the show divided in to two semi-finals, each consisting of four songs via a random draw. The two songs from each group that received the highest number of votes progressed through to next week's Grand Final.
