Jael Wena through to Battle rounds!

Jael Wena, Australia's 2018 Junior Eurovision representative has survived the Callback round on 'The Voice Australia'.

In this round, each coach needed to trim their teams down from 12 artists to 6. With only one place left on Team Jess, Jael was asked to participate in an Ariana Grande themed on-stage sing-off with teammates Sammy Toubia and Summer Beechman.

Singing Ariana's 2018 hit 'Breathin', it was a close call for Jael with coach Rita Ora choosing Summer as the performer she would put through. But fortunately for Jael, coach Jess Mauboy thought she was the artist she could coach the most and put her through to the Battle rounds, giving her the last remaining spot on the team.

At just 12 years old, Jael finished third for Australia at Junior Eurovision 2018 with her song 'Champion', the equal highest finish for Australia after Isabella Clarke's 3rd place in 2017.

'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022 songwriter Ally Eley is eliminated

Sadly it was the end of the competition for 19 year old Ally Eley from Melbourne. Ally was one of the co-writers of Erica Padilla's 'To The Bottom', which finished 10th at our national final 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' this year.

Competing in an on-stage sing-off with teammates Cassidy Mackie, Vanessa Librea and Jas Winter, only two could remain on coach Guy Sebastian's team. The girls were given the theme of Justin Bieber and Ally took to the stage with his 2015 hit 'Sorry'. It was an extremely close call but Guy chose to take through Cassidy and Jas, sending Ally and Vanessa home.

Talking about her time on 'The Voice Australia', Ally said -

"Coming here I didn't think I was even going to get one chair turn let alone four!"

Ally released her first single 'Girls in the Magazines' in February this year and we know this won't be the last we hear from this talented singer songwriter.
