Romania will send Theodor Andrei to Liverpool for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest after the artist won national final Selecţia Naţională.

While jurors decided on the final 12 acts back in December, the winning entry was determined solely by the public - both via phone and online. Romania remains without a win at the Contest, though has finished third on two occasions: in 2005 (Luminita Anghel & Sistem - 'Let Me Try') and 2010 (Paula Seling & Ovi - 'Playing With Fire'). WRS represented Romania at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin with his entry ‘Llámame‘. The song finished in 18th place, with 65 points.
