We look at Google search data to see which countries are showing the most interest in Eurovision 2025.
With an audience of hundreds of millions, the Eurovision Song Contest has a mass interest not just in Europe, but worldwide.
However, each year some countries take even more of an interest than normal, particularly if they have a chance of doing well.
Luckily, there is a way we can measure this through Google Trends.
Google Trends tracks how much people search content related to Eurovision and produces a score based on a per capita basis.
So who has been most interested in Eurovision in the last 30 days?
Let's take a look at the Top 20 rankings:

(Ranking in brackets is where the nation was in the Top 20 when we did the article in April last year).
Iceland [5]
Malta [-]
Finland [12]
Estonia [9]
Sweden [7]
Lithuania [6]
Switzerland [18]
Cyprus [3]
Greece [2]
Croatia [1]
Spain [-]
Albania [-]
Luxembourg [-]
Norway [16]
Latvia [20]
Netherlands [4]
Israel [10]
Austria [-]
Slovenia [14]
Belgium [13]
Iceland loves Eurovision and, with its small population, usually does well in these rankings.
There is certainly more hype for Væb than their entry last year.
The same can be said for Malta, which is in second place thanks to Miriana Conte's viral hit Serving.
On the flipside, Croatia led last year with Baby Lasagna's entry hyping the local public. This year they are still in 10th, but a big drop.
Interestingly, Sweden, who hosted in 2024, is ranked higher this year despite it being in Swtizerland. The impact of Kaj!
Finland and Estonia rank high, while Spain, with its high population, featuring in the Top 10 is remarkable.
Australia ranks 39th, with most casual viewers only switching on the week of the Contest.
However, it still ranks higher than European nations such as Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Turkey.
Outside of Europe, New Zealand saw the most searches, followed by Canada, South Korea, the USA and Argentina.
North Macedonia is the highest-ranked nation not competing this year, in 26th spot.
Out of the big five nations, Spain is 10th, Germany 27th, the UK 28th, Italy 33rd and France 335th. The per capita model often see smaller nations do better than those with large populations.
